Texas 2021

Ten days across Texas in the spring, and the state lived up to its reputation for bigness. In San Antonio we found the aquarium and the old Spanish stone of the missions; in Dallas and Fort Worth, a bronze longhorn drive mid-stampede, dinosaur halls at the Perot, and the falling-water terraces of the Water Gardens.

Houston brought the real giants — the Saturn V rocket and a lunar module at the Space Center. We finished in the hill country around Austin, with the Alamo, the pink-granite Capitol, and clear creeks running over limestone ledges. Everything, as they say, is bigger.

This trip ran 8 days, March 28 – April 5, 2021. Along the way we spent time at Dallas, Fort Worth & the Perot Museum, San Antonio & the aquarium, The Alamo, Austin & the Hill Country, and Houston & the Space Center. The gallery below tells it day by day, in 99 photographs.
