Punta Cana 2016

A short March escape to the Dominican Republic's Punta Cana, and a proper do-nothing kind of trip. We settled into the Alsol Luxury Village in Cap Cana — rooftop terraces and pools, palms leaning out over the lagoon, and colonial-style grounds to wander when we left the water at all.

Mostly, though, it was about the turquoise Caribbean out front and the warm quiet of a few unhurried days. Not every trip needs an itinerary.
