Disney's theme parks at Christmas — December 2014
A Christmas-week trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida — the giraffes and elephants of Animal Kingdom's safari and the great carved Tree of Life, the Hollywood Tower of Terror and the dark rides of Hollywood Studios, and Cinderella Castle in its blue coat of Christmas lights under the fireworks. Christmas week at Walt Disney World, with every park dressed up for the season. Animal Kingdom gave us the safari — giraffes and elephants out on the savanna — and the great carved Tree of Life at its heart.
Hollywood Studios brought the Tower of Terror and its dark rides, and the Magic Kingdom saved the best for last: Cinderella Castle in a shimmering blue coat of Christmas lights, with fireworks overhead. There's a particular magic to the parks in late December, and this trip had all of it.
This trip ran 5 days, December 27–31, 2014. Along the way we spent time at Disney's Animal Kingdom safari and Hollywood Studios & the rides. The gallery below tells it day by day, in 68 photographs.
